WEB USERS ARE busy people. On the Internet, they seek out sites that are functional, display high-quality graphics, contain credible information, and are well written. Certainly, the Web design team at Bedford/St. Martin's, a college textbook publisher specializing in the humanities, set out to create LORE, their e-journal for teachers of writing, with these qualities in mind. Bedford/St. Martin's is responsible for publishing and maintaining the site at www.bedfordstmartins.com/lore, but editorial control lies in the hands of the assistant professors, adjuncts, and graduate students who serve as executive- and co-editors. Why this e-journal?
