TAA Reader Profile
The Adjunct Advocate magazine was founded in September, 1992 to serve the almost 450,000 adjunct college educators in America. It is the only national news magazine for and about adjunct college educators. And thousands of adjunct college educators throughout the country receive the publication.
However, so do tenure-line faculty members, department heads, deans, university presidents, chancellors, regents and trustees. This wide range of readership demonstrates the importance, within the academy, of the issues covered in The Adjunct Advocate.
The magazine is published seven (7) times per year, as six (6) bimonthly issues and one (1) special Fall "Faculty Recruitment" Supplement.
Our publication offers advertisers the opportunity to reach a heretofore inaccessible group of college educators and their students. In fact, adjunct educators teach the majority of the undergraduate college students in America! Our faculty readership is concentrated in the following disciplines: English, ESL, Mathematics, Foreign Languages, Business, Physical, Computer Science, the Natural and Social Sciences.
THE 90 PERCENT CLUB
Our readers spend an average of 2 hours reading each issue. Over 90 percent of our readers either keep their issues for future reference, or pass them on to colleagues. That means that virtually all of our issues are read, re-read and passed on to other interested individuals.
